Town of Brooks, Fourth of July, five mile Run !!

The Event
This is a 5 mile run. It will be hosted in Brooks, Maine. Due to the potential for high temperatures and other events planned for the day, the race will start at 8am. Registration fee is $20 for adults and $10 dollar for children under age 12. T shirts will be given to participants. Proceeds will benefit the Town of Brooks Recreation Committee.
The Town of Brooks Recreation Department has been working to bring cultural, educational, social experiences as well as athletic events to our town for a few years. We would like to thank all of the volunteers, donors and participants that make these events a success and help to build memories between friends, neighbors and families.
On the Fourth of July , after the run, there will be a parade. Our annual parade draws folks from many of the surrounding towns.
We will be expecting hundreds of people to descend upon our town to view our old fashion American Fourth of July Parade complete with floats from many of our local organizations, schools and summer camps. There will be clowns, classic cars, fire engines and a few local politicians too. After the parade you could spend some time in our local Community Park which is bordered by the Marsh River. You can bring a picnic lunch or buy something from one of the local businesses.
